About

We (Steven and Mary Lee) bought our first house in July 2011. Early in our home search, we decided that we wanted to find an old home with lots of character. That's just what we got with our 1923 house that is part of a historic textile mill village in Huntsville, Alabama. Unfortunately many of our home's original details are long gone after previous remodels, but we plan to incorporate some Craftsman style elements as we renovate. That's our favorite style when it comes to architectural details, furniture, etc.! The plan is to do as much DIY-style renovation as possible, and we'll be here as long as it takes. Our canine kids are Lily and Ginny, both adopted shelter pups. We would be lost without these two, and they love to be in the middle of every house project!
